FAQ

Chick Needs: Hygiene

The Hygiene icon is displayed at the bottom as a light blue icon with a bathtub inside. Hygiene includes both cleaning your baby macaw's "nest" and bathing your little one once they are big enough. If you notice the Hygiene icon isn't completely full, make sure you've cleaned both your little guy and their space. To ensure the nest or your baby macaw is 100% clean, the corresponding submenu icon must be fully colored in. If you see that an icon is in black and white, that area still needs to be cleaned. Tap the bathtub icon to open the Hygiene submenu:

  • The icon on the left shows a spray bottle and soap: Tap the icon to go straight to cleaning the brooder box or perch. To clean it, select your preferred sponge, then tap and drag your finger over the object to scrub it. The light blue color on the sponge icon decreases depending on how many uses you have left. For example: at 1 out of 3 uses, the icon will be mostly pink, with just the bottom part still light blue. If you have 3 out of 3 uses, it will be completely light blue. Make sure to fill the top-right bar to clean it thoroughly.

  • The icon on the right shows a showerhead: Tap the icon to go straight to bathing your baby macaw. To wash your little one, pick your preferred showerhead, then press and drag your finger back and forth along the bar. Be careful: once your baby macaw grows big enough, they will want to be cleaned specifically on their feet, wings, or head, so follow their lead to keep them happy! The light blue color on the showerhead icon decreases depending on how many uses you have left. For example: at 1 out of 3 uses, the icon will be mostly pink, with just the bottom part still light blue. If you have 3 out of 3 uses, it will be completely light blue. Fill the top-right bar to make sure they are squeaky clean.
