FAQ

Chick Needs: Hunger

The Hunger icon is displayed at the bottom as a green icon with a ready-made meal inside. To fill the bar, you'll need to feed your baby macaw. Keep in mind that the younger the baby, the more often you'll need to feed them, just like real birds!

Tap the icon to enter the food submenu:

  • The icon on the left shows a meal plate: This takes you to the menu where you can choose whether to buy ready-made food, use a dish you've already bought, or prepare it yourself. To cook the food, tap the "Kitchen" icon; you'll need to follow the recipe, which changes as your little one grows. The green color on the food icon decreases depending on how many uses you have left for that item. For example: at 1 out of 3 uses, the icon will be mostly pink, with just the bottom part still green. If you have 3 out of 3 uses, it will be completely green.

  • The icon on the right shows a cutting board and a pot: This takes you straight to the kitchen to prepare the food.

Food preparations include:

  1. Syringe with liquid food: Follow the recipe, tap the bag of powdered food to add the right amount to the bowl, and press and hold the water pitcher, dragging it over the bowl to add water. Keep an eye on the top bar while pouring the water, and try to reach the green zone on the bar for the best result. Once you have the right mix, tap and drag your finger clockwise or counterclockwise around the bowl to fill the top bar. Once completed, the meal is ready.

  2. Creams: Follow the recipe and swipe across the fruit or vegetables to chop them. Be careful to cut them as small as possible-if a piece of fruit or vegetable remains standing, it's too large and will be harder to eat later. Once the ingredients are chopped, tap the small bowls to add them to the main bowl. When all ingredients are inside, tap and drag your finger clockwise or counterclockwise around the bowl to move the mixer and fill the top bar. Once completed, the food is ready.

  3. Fruit and Vegetables: Follow the recipe and swipe across the fruit or vegetables to chop them. Be careful to cut them as small as possible-if a piece of fruit or vegetable remains standing, it's too large and will be harder to eat later. Once the ingredients are chopped, tap the small bowls to add them to the main bowl. Once completed, the food is ready.

  4. Seeds: Follow the recipe and swipe across the fruit or vegetables to chop them. Be careful to cut them as small as possible-if a piece of fruit or vegetable remains standing, it's too large and will be harder to eat later. Once the ingredients are chopped, tap the small bowls to add them to the main bowl. Press and hold the water pitcher, dragging it over the bowl to add water. Keep an eye on the top bar while pouring the water, and try to reach the green zone on the bar for the best result.

How full your baby macaw gets depends on the food itself; some dishes are more filling than others. The icon in the top right will fill up based on how satisfying the meal is.
